Research Shows Vitamin C Can Replace Your Daily Exercise

Recent studies have again proved that intake of vitamin C has a great advantage towards our body. It can be compared with the regular exercise for the overweight and obese people in terms of cardiovascular benefits. According to the new research conducted by the University of Colorado, having vitamin C on a regular basis can act as a supplementary item for those 50% people who do not maintain their schedule of regular exercises.

For the overweight people, their blood vessels raise the function of the protein endothelin (ET)-1 which narrows the small vessels. This makes the vessels become less responsive towards the demand of the blood flow in the body and blocking of this protein can also increase the chances of cardiovascular attack.

Regular exercise is the solution of this problem, but it is a challenging task for everybody to keep up the regular exercise with their busy work schedule. Research result has shown that vitamin C has the power to increase the vessel function by decreasing the activity of ET-1. Intake of 500mg vitamin C per day can replace the walking exercise. Indeed, for the overweight and obese people, consumption of vitamin C will lead toward healthier and strategic lifestyle by reducing the activity of ET-1.
