The publication National Enquirer has reported that Apple CEO Steve Jobs is suffering from cancer and he is expected to live for another six weeks. The news of Steve Jobs suffering from cancer has come as a bombshell to the business community. However, there has been no confirmation of the news from Apple management.
National Enquirer has claimed that they have seen Steve Jobs leaving Stanford Cancer Center and took photographs of that. Seeing Mr. Jobs, their reporter spoke to the doctor and has reported that he will live for another six weeks. In fact, National Enquirer went to the extent of saying that he may not see the launch of iPhone5. If the news is at all true, we all wish a speedy recovery and well wish for Mr. Steve Jobs.
Meanwhile the website Tech Crunch has published a letter of medical leave filed by Mr. Jobs to the company management. They claim that Steve has only taken a medical leave and continues to serve as the CEO of the company. The medical leave letter, available with Tech Crunch, is as follows –
“Team,
At my request, the board of directors has granted me a medical leave of absence so I can focus on my health. I will continue as CEO and be involved in major strategic decisions for the company.
I have asked Tim Cook to be responsible for all of Apple’s day to day operations. I have great confidence that Tim and the rest of the executive management team will do a terrific job executing the exciting plans we have in place for 2011.
I love Apple so much and hope to be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, my family and I would deeply appreciate respect for our privacy.
Steve”
