Canada Day 2011 fireworks in Toronto will be celebrated on a grand scale in a few different places. As it is expected to be, the various shows will be taking place in the backyards and neighborhood parks in all over the city. Though people will miss the annual show at Downsview Park this year, as it has been cancelled due to the Tragically Hip-headlined concert will be taking place there throughout the day on Friday.
Readers who are not familiar with this great celebration must read this article. July 1st is celebrated as Canada Day across the country. The day is among very special days as it is the anniversary of the formation of the union of the British North America provinces in a federation under the name of Canada. Apart from this historical significance Canada Day is also famous for fireworks as well as the year’s biggest national party. The Canada Day holiday is quite similar to the U.S. July 4th celebration but in a more Canadian style.
