Wednesday Google released its Gmail app and afterward withdrew it for the Apple store with a straightforward tweeter messafe on its Gmail Twitter account which reads as, “The iOS app we launched today contained a bug with notifications. We have pulled the app to fix the problem. Sorry we messed up.”
The app was available on the store for merely an hour. It instantaneously prompted complaints from early adopters on Google+, Facebook and Twitter.
Though some news sites published that the app would incorporate some of the features that users couldn’t avail by hooking their Gmail account into Apple’s default mail program, but somehow the app failed to impress the users as it was expected earlier. According to some experts opinion the Gmail app is not really worth loading. Many people felt very disappointed as they said this app added pretty much nothing more than the app version of the Web site.
On Google+, Dave Girouardissued gave a detailed explanation about what went wrong with this app. According to him the app contained “a bug which broke notifications and caused users to see an error message when first opening the app.” He also affirms that the company has pulled the app down to fix the issues, but if anybody has already installed the app can go on using it.
