Ian Chappell, the former Australian Skipper, has recently written a column stating that Mahendra Sing Dhoni should be replaced by Virat Kholi, as the test captain of India. He added on that, he view Dhoni’s playing strategy as a situation where an absent minded professor is strolling in a park.
He wrote that Dhoni is a wonderful captain who is capable of handling those games which are short. However, when the matter is of a long term play, like the test cricket, then Dhoni fails to show the proper qualities. This was written on view of the recent Indian tour to Australia, where India failed to win any of the matches.
He also stated that Dhoni should have been instantly replaced after the disastrous performance. He feels that Kholi is a much better captain when it is about keeping your head cool and winning the game. According to him Dhoni has behaved with difficulties in taking decision during the match.
