Tug of war between Visa Inc and PayPal leaves the latter disappointed with statistics being in favor of the former. Visa Inc officially made a statement that shoppers who are availing their payment service are as much as 17 percent more likely to complete their purchases than the ones who use PayPal. As many as 66 percent of its enrolled customers completed their transactions successfully while only 49 percent of PayPal users were able to do the same.
Visa Checkout allows the shoppers to store their payment status, enabling one not to re-enter the details every time they are purchasing something online. PayPal too does more or less a similar kind of thing by letting a customer log in to their accounts. However stats obtained from ComScore, a retail analytics firm reveal that Visa is far ahead in transaction completion.
There has been a buzz for quite some time over online transactions and retailers had often complained about the unfinished transactions. This happens mostly when one is re-entering the details while making the purchase. Here, Visa excel too a great extent as online payment checkout services that are available on a retailer’s website make the payment process a lot easier and better for customers. Above all such a window can be opened anywhere may it be a mobile or a tablet or a laptop. The screen size is no longer a limitation.
The Visa Checkout has at present 6 million registered users and is going to extend its service in India as well. PayPal on the other hand has 169 million users globally.
