Big hitter and match winner all-rounder Kieron Pollard will remain out of the West Indies squad for the upcoming world T20 in Bangladesh. According to the reports Pollard has been dropped from the squad as he failed to recover from a knee injury which he had aggravated. The West Indies team will also compete in the tournament without the services of fast bowler Kemar Roach, who is also convalescing from a shoulder injury.
West Indies are the defending champions of the tournament and they emerged as champions in the earlier edition in 2012 held at Sri Lanka. The team will be led by Darren Sammy and will include the likes of hard hitter batsmen like Chris Gayle and Dwane Bravo. The squad will also enjoy services of tried and tested T20 specialist bowler like Sunil Narine. In spite of the two big blows to the team, it has a formidable line up and is expected to have good command over the game. The team looks positive as it is well balanced and players have experience playing in the subcontinents. Now it’s just a matter of time that will unveil the exciting tournament and test West Indies without two expertise in this format of the game.
