Indian vs New Zealand Match Ended In A Draw

The second test match between India and New Zealand ended in a draw on the final and fifth day of the match. The two teams have played nine tests in India and the matches have become a draw for the eighth time. Incidentally, India has not been able to beat New Zealand in their home soil for the past eleven years. The last time India defeated the Black Caps was at Green Park during the year 1999. The final test will start in Nagpur on November 20th.

India was 68 for no loss when the bells were called off. Virender Sehwag cored his 25th fifty in Test as he played a wonderful innings of 54. Along with him, Goutam Gambhir was on the bat at 14 not out.

Brender McCullum of New Zealand made a wonderful 225 and that innings really took New Zealand to safety. The visiting team declared their second innings at 448 for 8. It is also the highest score made by New Zealand on the Indian soil, surpassing the last record of 279 they made in 1988. Incidentally, New Zealand won that match.

The match is also special for McCullum as it can be considered to be his highest score in test cricket. It is also the second double century by any New Zealander on Indian soil. It is a foregone conclusion that he was named as the man of the match. Sehwag retains his position as the leading scorer of the series till now.
