Jack LaLanne, The Man Who Brought Fitness To The Americans, Dies

Americans wake up in the morning to find their fitness guru, Jack LaLanne is dead. The grand old man of American fitness died at the age of 96. He died from respiratory problems as he was suffering from pneumonia. He was the man who took exercises and fitness consciousness to the masses of the Americans. His mission was to make people convince to eat well and do regular exercise.

LaLanne died late on Sunday in his Morro Bay home in the central California coast. He had valve surgery in the year 2009 at the age of 95 and at that time, he told his family that if he dies, his image will be destroyed. His fans said that he always encouraged people to do regular exercise and never lost enthusiasm about life. He was looking handsome and encouraging even few months before his death at the age of 96.

He became interested in fitness at an young age and then took the initiative of changing the lives of millions of Americans. He used to say that the only way you can damage the body is by not using it. Jack LaLanne showed to the Americans how to do exercising using just a chair and a towel.

He was also the first person to encourage women to go for muscle building. He started a fitness studio in 1936 and it was almost unimaginable at that point of time.
