After a long unsuccessful period, Manchester United administration finally made a move and sacked the manager David Moyes, who was at the helm of affairs after Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement. The backroom staff comprising of Steve Round, Phil Neville, Jimmy Lumsden and Chris Woods are also expected to leave soon.
Moyes had a contract with United for six years but the officials terminated it so early due to the long unsuccessful period under his reign with good footballers in the side. The club thanked him for his honesty and integrity and assigned Ryan Giggs as the interim manager.
Moyes had a tough luck at United and won just 27 matches out of 51, drawing nine and losing as many as fifteen matches.
Giggs, the man set to put his foot on the slippers of Moyes is an ace footballer at the far end of his career. He had made 962 appearances for United ever since his debut at 1991, when he was only 17.
