Nokia, world’s leading mobile phone maker finally joins the dual SIM phones category with unique features. The popular phone company introduces the first set of its series of Dual SIM handsets at the Computer Village, Ikeja last week.
During the event Nokia launched three dual SIM phones which are Nokia X1-01, C2-00 and the C2-03. Mr. Reuben Onwubiko, Head of Nokia’s Marketing for West Africa, revealed that these handsets boasts five different SIM cards and have been very well received by Nokia faithfuls throughout the country.
According to him, the strong portfolio of Dual SIM devices would be able satisfy the individual requirements of different users.
Onwubiko claimed that Nokia is not only putting emphasize on its track record of unfailing innovation in the production of long-lasting devices but has developed dual SIM phones with its Dual Simple plan with the new advancement of Nokia’s Easy Swap. For example, Nokia’s combines the Dual-SIM functionality with Touch and Type technology, this new phone is ideal for users who want to merge their separate requirements into one single device.
The handset is Nokia’s third Touch and Type device and first such form factor to bring Dual-SIM. Up until now, Dual-SIM phones were required to be switched off and then the battery removed, so that the users can insert the SIM card. But the latest The Easy Swap feature allows users to open the slot on the side of the handset and simply insert the new SIM, without any reboot.
