Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia recently launched a new range of dual-SIM phone with latest C2-00 handset, which is a touch-and-type slider phone running on Symbian Series 40.
The Nokia C2-03, is the first handset in the series to boost Dual-SIM support, featuring both touchscreen and a display along with 240 x 320 pixels resolution. The C2-00 a facilitates settings of up to 2 different SIM cards; therefore, it becomes easy for the users to switch between SIM cards on the side of the phone instead of setting them beneath the battery. So the system doesn’t require a reboot after setting a new SIM card each time.
Thanks to this unique SIM card management facility swapping different SIMs has become simpler, without compromising on any other features. With Nokia C2-00 the users don’t have to choose between touch and keypad, or miss out a great web, map, and entertainment or email experience as the device has made it all available in one affordable handset, affirms Mary McDowell, who is the head of Nokia’s Mobile Phones business unit.
The new device, which is comparatively a standard feature phone, is equipped with 10MB of built in memory with a memory expandable up to 32GB. Besides it has got a 2 megapixel camera for photography enthusiasts. The handset is supported by 400 hours of standby time, in addition to 5 hours talk time and can go on for 35 hours while music playback.
This handset has already been unveiled in Delhi and Chennai markets and will be launched in other markets very soon.
The expected price for Nokia C2-03 in India is around Rs 3,000 ($56.67 approx)
