President Obama has signed a bill today that will help 160,000 teachers and 740,000 other people to save their jobs. So, in total, this bill is going to save a total of 900,000 jobs and it costs a large amount of dollars and God knows from where Uncle Sam will bring in the money.President said that since education is the backbone of any civilization, it can be considered to be an investment for our future generation.Melody Barnes, Director of Domestic Policy Council has mentioned in the Whitehouse blog that “Today’s bill brings needed relief to these and other communities across the nation. In addition, because the legislation is fully paid for, in part by closing tax loopholes that encourage corporations to ship American jobs overseas, we’ll be able to meet this charge in a manner that does not add to our deficit.” Barnes also further stated, “We must place America’s children and the safety of our communities above partisan politics”.President Obama said in a note, “a challenge that affects parents, children and citizens in almost every community in America should not be a Democratic problem or a Republican problem. It is an American problem.” The country seems to be not yet able to come out of the grips of recession.
