Trying with all might to make the city resemble the city of London in looks and elegance, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has got plans to have a wax museum in Kolkata. The museum which is presumed to resemble the Madame Tussauds’ in central London, will have a king size model of ace actor Shah Rukh Khan, an all-time favourite actor of the CM.
There are many but big names which follow the suit are Big B Amitabh Bachchan and Lata Mangeskar. The CM has also expressed her heartfelt desire to name the museum as “Mother” which will be unveiled in the next few months.
According to the reports obtained, the artist deputed for such a mammoth project has asked for few months’ time to conceptualise the blueprint of such a fantastic idea.
The wax museum is likely to be just at the opposite of Prakriti Tirtha, an Eco-Tourism Park in Rajarhat. The existing park too is a fantastic one with floating musical fountains and unique mask garden that has masks from various countries.
Earlier the CM had expressed on a social networking site that the museum will be a fantastic place for visitors and photography buffs who may take pride to have their picture with a celebrity by their sides.
Famous painter Suvaprasanna though is of the view that such a museum will be a seat of culture and bring in lots of people but it does not pertain to any subject of art. The city now looks forward and longs to have the first wax museum.
