A recent report unveils those women who are willing conceive after their sudden miscarriage can still give birth to a healthy baby if they get pregnant within six months after miscarriage. In the process there is very little chance for the pregnancy related complications to occur.
Though it is a matter of debate that how long a woman should wait to conceive again, some medical experts say there is no necessity to hold the pregnancy. But if we ask for the opinion given by World Health Organization (WHO), it recommends the couple to wait at least for six months to ensure a healthy pregnancy.
According to the Scottish researchers, the guidelines by WHO needs to be reviewed. “Our data showed, that at least in Scottish women, there is no justification in delaying a pregnancy following an uncomplicated miscarriage,” said An well known lead researcher Dr. Sohinee Bhattacharya, says their research which was conducted on Scottish women shows there is no point to delay pregnancy in order to avoid another miscarriage or complications
Their research will be certainly proven to be helpful as it will provide necessary counseling to the women concerning planning for the future pregnancies and will help couples to make right decisions based on hard evidence.
She also stated that WHO guiding principles may still be valid to women in developing nations.
