The White Rock Marathon has drawn a record 22,000 participants and more people are expected to stand along the way to cheer the participants all the way. The White Rock Marathon will take place at the Fair Park in Dallas.
Good runners are expected to finish the White Rock Marathon in two hours and fifteen minutes and women are most likely to finish the race in two hours and fifty minutes. The course of the race will go down to downtown Dallas and will pass the Dallas Arts District and Turtle Creek. After that the White Rock marathon will pass through the Highland Park, White Rock Lake and then will go along the Swiss Avenue to finish in front of Hall of State building at the Fair Park.
The race started at 8 am and the temperature was around mid -30’s at that time. But the participants will feel like a few degrees lower as the wind will be blowing from the north. But as the White Rock marathon will go towards completion, the temperature is expected to rise. Channel 8 will telecast the marathon from 8 am till noon.
