Cancer is spreading like an epidemic, mainly found in developing countries affecting men and women today in larger scale. This particular disease not only affects our immune system but it slowly kills us spreading rapidly within. Only early detection and proper medication increases the chances of survival with this disease. New researches conducted throughout various cities say lung cancer which used to affect men earlier now are increasingly seen in women and becoming their causes of death.
On the world cancer day a report was released by IARC that states in the year 2012 approximately 8.2 million death has been registered due to cancer globally and 14.2 million new cases are reported. Among which 13% of the death registered are diagnosed with lung cancer and that means around 500000 women and 1.1 million men worldwide. Today lung cancer has become the second major cause of women death. Earlier only Western countries were noted to have major lung cancer cases due to their extreme tobacco consumption in both men and women. In countries like Spain and Hungary ratio of men having lung cancer is less than that of women. Now a day’s China and Indonesia are having high lung cancer cases and primarily found in women due to their cooking techniques using coal fume stove and air pollution. Along with the shocking truth of cancer pandemic worldwide the reports and doctors also stating that measure like early detection, physical activity, liver vaccination, proper dietary plan and control over tobacco can help us to prevent cancer to certain extent.
